Meet the Team

Reg Soares
A native Cape Codder! He started vegetable gardening in East Falmouth as a boy, and studied nursery management at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Plays hockey when not at the nursery.

Terry Soares
Started gardening in the South and is still inspired by her southern roots. Loves sharing her love of gardening with her granddaughters and customers. Currently obsessed with nicotianas and amaranths.

Marcia
Grew up off Cape and got “into” plants during the 1970s, the last big houseplant boom. Though a career long horticulturist and life long plant maniac, I forbid the term “avid gardener” from appearing in my obit. A fave plant group: primroses

Lynn
I came to the Cape to live full time in 1974. As a nature girl through and through, living by the sea and working at the nursery fulfills my love of gardening and helping others to enjoy the beauty around us. Favorite: peonies – so short lived but oh how lovely.

Maria
I think of landscape gardening as my third career after nearly thirty years in product development for the home furnishings industry, then dabbling in non-profit work…for some it takes a while to figure out what we were meant to do. The thrill of it, the anticipation, the endless possibilities, the rewards (and instructive failures) are what draw me to this endeavor. A favorite plant: Japanese andromeda

Marte
Growing up gardening on a farm in VT instilled a lifelong passion for keeping my fingernails short and a peaceful place to go for a retreat whether looking at plants or working around them.

Judy
Inspired by my mother-in-law in Southeastern CT, gardening became a passion shared with cousins and garden friends. Jewels nah, intoxicating roses, hydrangeas, lavender, and more YES! Just point me to bare dirt dreaming to be transformed-,“my happy place” according to my husband.

Kelly
As a child I lived in Germany where my love of landscape and plants sprouted! A palette for pollinators! Now I’m learning and striving to creatively garden for environmental improvement using indigenous and/or native plants.

Jim
Our Southern gentleman has been pushing posies for nigh on 50 years. His patience, charm, muscle and knowledge are just a few of his many talents and skills we’ve imported from Maryland.
