Soares Cicada Celebration!
Saturday, June 7th
Brittany Lord from the Mass. Extension service will be here from 1:00- 2:00 pm to give a brief talk on Cicadas and answer any questions you may have. Enter a drawing for a Soares Nursery Gift Basket worth $100 (drawing held June 18th), take pictures with our giant Cicada, and enjoy our kids’ cicada drawing activities! In addition, we will have copies of a Cicada educational graphic novel “Cicadapocalypse” that will teach you about these amazing insects (one included in the gift Basket!) Come experience this once-every-17-year event!

Soares is helping celebrate 150 years of Botanical Surveys on Penikese Island! Join us for a reception at the Marine Biological Laboratory, hosted by the Penikese Island School, showcasing their new mission of environmental education for all ages. We will be bringing our native plants from American Beauties to the party!
This is a FREE EVENT: Food + drink, plants + history!
